In 2020, Lena wrote for Definitely Not News, a children’s comedy sketch series shot entirely in lockdown.
During her time in this role, Lena wrote to a weekly deadline, producing high quality comedy content at a fast turn around.

Lena was a writer’s assistant turned episode writer for the Australian made for Adult Swim animated comedy series YOLO: Crystal Fantasy created by Michael Cusack.
During her time working for Princess Pictures (production company that produced the series), Lena worked over many facets of the scripting department including coordinating, drafting and editing. She also worked as a director’s and producer’s assistant on this project.

Since graduating her Masters in 2016, Lena has note taken in a variety of scripted drama writer’s rooms. During this time, Lena has worked for the likes of Guesswork TV, Princess Pictures, Werner Films, Cabbage Films, and Haven’t You Done Well Productions.
This invaluable experience has given Lena the tools to work within writer’s rooms, as well as facilitate development and also deepened her understanding of storytelling.

Lena completed her Masters of Screenwriting degree at the Victorian College of the Arts in mid 2016.
During this degree, she wrote two episodes of her original series, Cockatoo Clothes. Set in 1978 Fitzroy, this multi-camera workplace comedy chronicles the day to day operations of a small clothes store on the bustling bohemian Brunswick Street.

Normal Human Responses was performed as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2017 and was the second show produced by comedy troupe The Dairy Kweenz.
The sketch show followed an eccentric scientist's journey into understanding human emotion, amidst a plethora of character driven, emotionally charged and thematically relevant live and video sketch.
Lena co-wrote, performed in and produced this production.

2017
In 2016 , The Dairy Kweenz completed a run of their Melbourne Fringe Festival sketch show, Human Garbage.
Human Garbage explored 'garbage' characters, opinions and life goals held by humans in today's society. The show featured a combination of character sketches, musical numbers and ensemble pieces.
Lena co-wrote, performed in and produced this production.

Human Garbage
The Melbourne Fringe Festival 2016
Lena's ungraduate film Splendr, was co-written with peer Alexander Moore.
Completed in 2013, the film circulated festivals before finally being uploaded online.
