Lena Moon

Lena is a screenwriter, filmmaker and comedian from Melbourne.

Lena has completed an undergraduate degree in Film and Television Swinburne University. This included an exchange at Drexel University where she co-wrote an episode of the sitcom Off Campus as part of her studies which later went on to receive a local Emmy award.
Her graduate film, Splendr received the Richard Franklin award for Best Film and Best Screenplay award for her graduate year of 2013. Splendr also screened at various film festivals, most notably LA Indie Film Festival and Byron Bay Film Festival.

Since graduating her masters at the Victorian College of the Arts, Lena has become a member of a house team with the Improv Conspiracy Theatre and has a monthly residency with her team the Dairy Kweenz where she creates comedy using long form improvisation. When not performing with the theatre, Lena produces Cage Match, a weekly late night improvised show. Further comedy work includes a comedy podcast, Teenage Squeam, which Lena produces, mixes and co-stars in.
Most recently, Lena also co-wrote and performed in a sketch show, Human Garbage, for the 2016 Melbourne Fringe Festival.

Lastly, Lena continues to further her filmmaking skill set by directing and script editing episodes for a handful of web series and taking occasional production assistant positions as they come.
